Bernard Cadène has exhibited all over the world. The painter returns to and exhibits at the Nadine Granier gallery until Sunday December 22. Its 155th exhibition!

It’s a place he knows well. He who has exhibited in , New York, Milan and Tokyo, returns to Albi for a new exhibition at the Nadine Granier gallery at 13 rue Puech Bérenguier. The painter Bernard Cadène is presenting 25 paintings until December 22.

“I enjoy exhibiting in this small Albigensian gallery because it’s a story of the heart,” explains the artist. Nadine Granier has been a gallery owner for over 35 years, there is a strong bond. I enjoy exhibiting at home. This woman is wonderful, she loves painting… For me it’s important, it works with the heart. I came last year for my 150th solo exhibition and given the success, Nadine asked me to. to come back with new paintings.”

A free, whimsical, optimistic painting, often fiery and overflowing

This exhibition is therefore a reflection of his current painting, with bright and joyful colors. Bernard Cadène has a reputation as a colorist but in his works, we also find landscapes, still lifes, color sketches, scenes from life… It is a free, whimsical, optimistic painting, often fiery and overflowing.

“Color is light, it’s cheerfulness, music, friends, it’s love and humor,” continues the painter. “It’s my whole life.” He claims that color broke into him around thirty years ago, taking control of his imagination.

Among the paintings exhibited at the gallery, we will find “Off the coast of Saint-Tropez”, “Barns in the Pyrenees”, “The banks of the Garonne”, “October at the Valmer” and even “The fruit seller”. So many works by the “Maestro of color”, this instinctive painter whose innate sense of color cannot be analyzed.

Until December 22 at the Nadine Granier gallery at 13 rue Puech Bérenguier in Albi. Open Tuesday to Sunday, 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. (in the morning and outside these hours, by appointment). Contacts: 06 82 10 61 13 or [email protected]
