Did she leave on the evening of November 7 or the morning of the 8? Mystery. Our Norwegian colleagues from See and Hear claim, on the other hand, that Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway was seen during the day of November 8 in the company of her husband, Crown Prince Haakon, in London. He arrived the day before with his stepson, Marius Borg Høiby, on board the flight from Oslo to the English capital. The last ones to board the plane, according to the passengers interviewed. If the information is confirmed by Guri Varpe, the palace’s communications manager, the reasons are said to be “private”.

Except for the Norwegian magazine which understands that the 27-year-old young man, burdened by several scandals in recent weeks, is in rehab. “The fact that the crown prince canceled his official commitments (at the last minute, editor’s note) makes me think that this is not an ordinary family vacation. I would not be surprised if they were there in the part of Marius’ treatment, in which case it is normal that mom and step-dad are there to support him”, explains the royal chronicler, Caroline Vagle.

Especially since in mid-October, Øivind Bratlien, Marius’ lawyer, explained that he planned to begin his “reeducation” very soon. It is therefore not surprising that his mother is also present to support her son, accused of, among other things, domestic violence. Anonymous sources would have seen them both in a shopping center. A little getaway in complete privacy which testifies to the unwavering links which unite the enfant terrible to the future sovereigns of Norway.
