Monday November 4 afternoon, at 2 p.m., opened at the Les Grands Chênes nursing home in Saïx, an exceptional exhibition which will continue until Monday November 11 at 5 p.m.
This event highlights thirteen paintings by a resident who, despite her undeniable talent, had to interrupt her artistic practice due to the loss of her manual agility.
This resident is no ordinary painter. Having started her artistic journey in Paris, where she studied fashion design, she then spent more than twenty years in Africa. Two stays which nourished her imagination, but it was only on her return that she took up the brush to produce hundreds of paintings. A prolific artistic career, marked by the use of varied techniques: oil painting, watercolor, pastel, charcoal. His works traveled through exhibitions, some being sold, others generously given to those who shared his love of art.
The works presented during this exhibition belong to the artist’s daughter, the other owners having preferred to keep their precious acquisitions. This personal choice, made as a duo between mother and daughter, reflects an intimate dialogue between creativity and family heritage.
This event provides a meeting space for residents, staff and outdoor art enthusiasts.
Whether you are an art lover or simply curious, come and immerse yourself in this pictorial universe, witness to a life rich in experiences and emotions.
