After a very busy and successful 2021, 2022 and 2023, Orelsan took a step back in 2024to mature its future projects. Among these, a new film, Yoroiwritten by the rapper from Caen (), which will be on display on Wednesday October 22, 2025.

New collaboration with David Tomaszewski

Ten years after the release of Comment c’est loin, Orelsan announces his return to the big screen. The star will be starring in Yoroi, a film for which he wrote the screenplay, which will be unveiled in the fall of 2025.

Seen last year in Asterix and Obelix: The Middle Kingdom, the Caennais will this time play the leading role in this feature film put into images by David Tomaszewski. The latter is a long-time collaborator of the rapper, for whom he has already directed the music videos for the titles Blocked, Fear of failure et The smell of gasoline.

A fantastic adventure in the heart of Japan

In this “fantastic adventure”, Orelsan will take us to Japan, a country whose culture he has always admired.

Alongside actress Clara Choï (Room 212, Midman), he tells us the story of a certain Aurélien who, after a last grueling tour, decides to settle in the land of the rising sun with Nanako, his wife who is pregnant with their first child. As the young couple moves into a traditional house in the Japanese countryside, they discover an ancestral armor in a well which will awaken strange creatures, the Yokaïs…
