Bellanova d’Omaha logically won with Théo Duvaldestin in the Prix de Vaumas (Gr.III), eighth event this Friday, November 8 at Vincennes. At three years old, this Thierry Duvaldestin filly competed in her first group race, and therefore remains undefeated on the Parisian track in four outings in total. Trotting in 1’13”8, she beat her speed record, and therefore won this event with ease ahead of Golden Dream Wolf et Luminosity. “It was a great race for her, specifies Théo Duvaldestin. We shouldn’t have missed it because it remains a Group III. She took responsibility, and she won well. To finish, she did a nice last 500 meters. The contract is fulfilled. It’s not impossible that we’ll see her again on Sunday the 17th (editor’s note, in the Prix Guy Deloison (Gr.II))against the best. She was highly esteemed at first, and eventually she needed time. She has returned to the level we estimated.”
Second in the event with Golden Dream Wolfher trainer Marc Sassier debriefs the performance of his filly. “Eric (Raffin) came to position himself well on the way down, explains the coach with 97 victories this year. He had a good race behind Thierry’s mare (Duvaldestin)but there was no photo to finish. Mine hasn’t lost ground, it’s a good value too.”
