After a partnership of several years, Carmelo Hayes shocked the WWE Universe earlier this year by parting ways with Trick Williams. The two Superstars then had a great rivalry which ended in a Steel Cage Match on the April 16, 2024 edition of NXT.
During an interview with Armon Sadler of “Stay Busy,” Williams was asked about a possible reunion with Carmelo Hayes.
He declares:
“You know, I feel a little like Jey Uso in this situation. What Jey told him is that we can work together, but the dynamic is different now. Do you see what I mean? I feel it with all my heart, the days of saying “yes” are over. Will it be Trick and Melo’s gang, for sure, if it happens. Will it be like before? I can’t, I’m past this stage. I can’t go back, even if I wanted to. This doesn’t suit me. »
Trick Williams is the current NXT Champion and continues to defend his title week after week. For his part, Carmelo Hayes is trying to regain the United States title on SmackDown. Will the two men meet again one day?
