This time, it is confirmed: the Saint-Étienne public prosecutor's office announced, Thursday, November 7, 2024, that it had opened a preliminary investigation following the filing of a complaint for sexual harassment against the singer Slimane.
A technician who worked on a tour of the artist during a concert in Saint-Étienne, in December 2023, had recently filed a complaint, claiming to have received unsolicited pornographic messages and videos, according to his lawyer.
“Aggravated sexual harassment”
The prosecution confirmed, at the end of October 2024, that it had received this complaint, but was waiting to receive the material elements before opening a preliminary investigation.
This was finally opened for “sexual harassment aggravated by the use of a digital or electronic medium,” prosecutor David Charmatz told AFP.
