More fear than harm, for the leader of the group Coldplay. These are things that can happen, and that many artists have already experienced during their careers. These can be falls, but also more serious accidents.
We all remember Michael Jackson's terrible accident during the filming of a Pepsi commercial, where the fireworks on stage ignited his hair and burned his scalp. The King of Pop didn't notice it right away, and fortunately, members of his team intervened to try to stop the fire. Professional, always, the singer was taken on a stretcher into an ambulance, but made this famous thumb sign to the photographers, to reassure his fans.
Chris Martin fell through a trap door on stage
It was the singer and frontman of the group Coldplay, Chris Martin, who this time was the victim of a fall in the middle of a concert, while he was performing in Melbourne, Australia. This was the band's fourth and final show in Melbourne as part of their world tour Music of the Spheres.
The show was going swimmingly when Chris Martin decided to read the audience signs and walked backwards during a break in the show. The singer was taken by surprise and fell into a hole in front of the shocked crowd.
The singer continued the concert following the incident
The singer's fall was filmed by fans who were enjoying the show. In images shared on social media, spectators can be heard screaming as Chris Martin stumbles out of sight.
The singer subsequently reassured his fans by even laughing about the situation : “It’s not planned,” he laughed before adding: “Thanks for catching me.” to a production employee under the stage, thanks to whom he was not injured. After the incident, Chris Martin continued the show as if nothing had happened. The fans were thus reassured, and also quickly forgot the little accident, which the singer can recount with a laugh.
