Show. Richard Gotainer brings his sentence back to Nantes

“Tonight, I’m not singing, I’m telling,” he immediately addresses the audience of this show of a new genre, nicely named Gotainer brings back his sentence. Richard Gotainer, the funny author-singer-comedian of the 1980s – but not only – offers a formula “greedy” musical theater. A fantasy performed in this Friday, November 8, in which he recounts and revisits around twenty texts of his songs, including Le Youki, Le Moustique, Quéquette blues, Le Béquillard des boisetc. Because we are never so well served… he himself gives us three reasons to go and discover this show.

Unpublished

“This show formula is completely new. The initial idea of the singer who does not sing but tells his songs, with a musician at his side, did not work right away. And the fact of knowing the sung texts did not help me, on the contrary: I had to start from scratch. Then, through working hard, with my talented accomplice, the musician Brice Delage, we invented this format which does not exist… Be careful, Brice does not provide support! Its and its sound effects are more of an embellishment, a wrapping. »

Surprising

“There is no question that this show will be less good than a concert! But people don’t know what to expect. With Brice Delage, we are there to do comedy, to play. To mess around, have fun and above all surprise, which is essential for me in a show. When I do Le Youkipeople died laughing, I didn’t have this reaction in the past, it’s delightful. We alternate atmospheres, with funny things but also things that border on melancholy. »

Stripped

“Music softens morals and rounds off the angles on a text. This time, the words are naked! Of all the shows I have done, this one is the simplest but also the one that goes the furthest. Some of my texts are forty years old, they hold up and spectators are rediscovering them. Our mouths are full of the deliciousness of these words. This show is the one I most want to show, it’s a treat to defend it! »
