Aël, Florent Pagny’s daughter, has just published a book of photos dedicated to the last two years of her father’s life. Through this work, she shares her personal experience, from the announcement of her father’s cancer to his recovery.
In 2022, Florent Pagny revealed that he had lung cancer, terrible news for his many fans, but especially for his family. The icon of French song is the father of two children, and his daughter, Aël, wanted to pay a beautiful tribute to her father.
A professional photographer, she has just published a photo book dedicated to the singer, as reported by Le Parisien.
Entitled Florent Pagny, this book retraces in images the last two years of the artist, from the announcement of his cancer, through the cancellation of his tour for his 60th birthday, until his recovery at the end of 2023.
“I learned of the first diagnosis as I was flying back to Argentina. I wondered if I should stay, but mom was with him“, she tells the French media.
Despite the shock of the news, Aël chose to go to South America to take care of the family farm.
Throughout the treatment, Aël Pagny never stopped supporting his father. Fortunately, the story ended well, since Florent Pagny finally overcame the illness and was able to return to the stage in the summer of 2022. “It was crazy to see the audience’s reaction! It was the return to the stage after all the cancer treatments“, she concludes.
