Democratic candidate for the US presidential election, Kamala Harris, made a surprise visit to New York on Saturday, just three days before the election.

Two sources said the outgoing vice president would make an appearance on the entertainment show “Saturday Night Live,” a report that has not been confirmed by her campaign.

Kamala Harris’ participation in the satirical show would create a surprise before Tuesday’s election.

Earlier in the day, Kamala Harris traveled to North Carolina, one of the states considered decisive for the November 5 vote, for a rally during which she was joined by singer Bon Jovi.

Republican candidate for the White House Donald Trump was also in North Carolina, where he said he would deport millions of immigrants if elected, adding that if Kamala Harris won, “every city in America would be transformed into a squalid and dangerous refugee camp.”

In Atlanta, Kamala Harris said the former Republican president would abuse his power if he returned to the White House.

“He is someone who is increasingly unstable, obsessed with revenge, consumed by resentment, and this man is seeking unfettered power,” she warned.

It’s the last day for early voting in North Carolina, where about 4 million people have already cast their ballots as the western part of the state still recovers from deadly flooding caused by Hurricane Helene. .

The former Republican president criticized the federal government’s response to the disaster and repeated a false claim that aid was diverted from the state to help immigrants enter the country.

Donald Trump won in North Carolina in 2020 by a narrow margin. However, a Democratic governor was elected the same day in the state, which fuels hope in both camps.

More than 72 million people have already voted early nationally, according to data from the University of Florida.
