As is tradition in Ploërmel (Morbihan), the Brocéliande Fantastic festival, launched Thursday October 31, 2024 on Samhain night (the equivalent of Halloween in Celtic culture) ends with a stroll through town. Thus, to conclude a successful 2024 edition in the colors of Latin America in every way, the Demon Dancefrom the company Remue-Ménages, was eagerly awaited… especially since unlike 2023, where despite the rain thousands of spectators were present, the weather was favorable with seasonal freshness… encouraging walking!
Adapting dance and circus to urban space
And the reputation of this company is well established, in street shows, for its choreographic work to adapt dance and circus to urban space.
At 7 p.m., there were indeed many people at the departure meeting point in the swimming pool parking lot. Latin music fills the space and first appear four bulls then three large, giant articulated puppets, 4 m high and inspired by the traditions of the Americas. They will have fun with the crowd, begin pas de deux with spectators and ignite a spectacular sound and light in the streets of ancient Ploërmel which will have experienced a festive and bright evening. The many smiles on faces testified to the success of the parade.
