Angélique Kidjo celebrates her 40th career at Carnegie Hall

Angélique Kidjo knows the Carnegie Hall hall well, having sung there several times. And it is this prestigious scene in Manhattan that the Franco-Beninese artist has chosen to celebrate her 40th career in New York, on Saturday November 2 at 8pm. A concert which will notably allow you to discover his latest project, “African Symphony”, and to hear his greatest hits again.

Winner of five Grammy Awards and goodwill ambassador for UNICEF, the musician and singer will come accompanied by big stars and longtime friends: Nile Rodgers, one of the most influential American guitarists, songwriters and producers of these last 50 years; Baaba Maal, Senegalese singer, guitarist, composer and humanitarian. Arrangements will be provided by Derrick Hodge, known for his work with Robert Glasper and Common.

The evening will include legendary pieces and appearances by other artists from the African diaspora and beyond. A great music festival fusing African music, R&B, funk and American jazz. A concert produced by FranceRocks. Tickets here.
