Morgane Gallet and Rémy Druais may have had a first birth experience (Sacha, 3 years ago), but the arrival of their second boy was quite an event. Tuesday October 15, one week from the due date, the 34-year-old speech therapist felt very marked contractions.
“It was 6 a.m., Morgane was starting to feel a lot of pain. By 8:15 a.m., she couldn’t take it anymore. We left Lorscourt where we live, to drop Sacha off at nursery school, where we kindly picked him up 10 minutes early. It was a 30-minute drive to the Nord Franche-Comté hospital in Trévenans but Morgane was in too much pain. »
“Patricia, who works at Moloco, must have been hallucinating when she saw us at 8:30 in the morning, parked in the parking lot with my wife ready to give birth”
The mother who had given birth to the eldest “without an epidural, after three days of labor”, could not take it anymore. “I felt like we weren’t going to make it in time. Rémy called on the 15th to alert the emergency services so that they could help us. They told us to quickly park the car. » The 37-year-old osteopath takes this route every day. He immediately thought of the parking lot of Moloco, the current music space in the Montbéliard region, where the couple had already attended concerts.

“The parking lot is a little hidden from view. While parking, we came across Patricia, who manages the reception of artists. She must have been hallucinating when she saw us at 8:30 in the morning, parked in the parking lot with my wife ready to give birth.”
With the emergency services who guide him by telephone
In line with emergencies, the couple converted the family car into a temporary delivery room. Morgane is in the passenger seat, pushed all the way back, and Rémy kneels between his partner and the car door, with towels (from Moloco), to prepare for the arrival of their second boy. “We couldn’t see the baby’s head yet. Everyone thought we still had time. When we hung up with the doctor on 15… the head appeared! »
Don’t panic. Full of composure, the thirty-year-old helps his partner give birth. “Mathis came within minutes. He was born at 8:45 a.m., in Rémy’s arms. Eyes wide open, pointed at his dad.” The mother’s voice is full of emotion when she describes the scene.
“Everything went well. It was barely 13° outside. Rémy placed Mathis on me to warm him up. And then the firefighters arrived. » The cord cut, the checks carried out, we head to the maternity ward.
As they leave, they meet the singer Ayo, who falls under the spell of their story.
The beautiful story continues. On their way back from the hospital on Friday afternoon, the couple stopped at Moloco “to thank them for their generosity, return the towels and introduce Mathis, “the Moloco baby””.
As they leave, arriving in the parking lot (definitely!), they come across Ayo who is arriving by taxi. The German singer literally melts when we describe the family’s adventures to her. “She was very touched by our story and the fact that we came back to introduce our son to the team. We talked with her for almost half an hour. I cried almost all the time. » Morgane still shudders as she describes this meeting.
Matthieu Spiegel, director of Moloco: “They are our guests for life”
The Lorscourtois are invited to the concert the same evening. “We were tired from all these events but since my sister was there, we were able to free ourselves to go see Ayo on stage. It allowed us to come full circle,” say the parents, with a feeling of happiness mixed with “the relief that everything went well. » Morgane still spent a good part of the evening with moist eyes…

To top it off, the Doubiens left the contemporary music hall of the Montbéliard region with a “gold ticket”. Matthieu Spiegel, the director of Moloco, explains: “We were shocked by this family. Mathis will have things to tell when he is older. In the meantime, he and his parents are our guests for life at Moloco. » They couldn’t have hoped for a better birth gift.
