The Orient-Express makes you travel. This legendary train with an evocative name has made entire generations dream: adventurers, luxury lovers, but also readers, thank you Agatha Christie.

While it should be back in service in 2024, one of its descendants with the same last name has been on the rails since 1982: the Venice-Simplon-Orient-Express.

Legendary train, luxury fare

This evening, it’s the turn of food lovers to be able to enjoy the facilities of this legendary train.

Commissioned in 1982, this train has crossed nine countries over time (Austria, Belgium, France, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Turkey). It is one of seven luxury trains operated by the Belmond hotel company.

Since 2021, new cities have been served, including Amsterdam, Rome and Courchevel. The minimum price for a standard cabin is 3500 euroswhen the price of the most expensive suite is 15,000 euros.

Lobster and Beef Wellington Salad

The M6 ​​show Top Chef takes up residence there in the show broadcast this Wednesday, May 29, 2024, as part of season 15.
