Singer Florent Pagny will be on stage on Thursday, May 30, at the Salle Pleyel in Paris for a solidarity concert for the benefit of Bleuet de France.

Anticipated reunion between Florent Pagny and the public. The French singer will be on stage at the Salle Pleyel (Paris VIII) this Thursday, May 30. Alongside Nicola Sirkis from Indochina, he will take part in a charity concert entitled Sentinels of one eveningaccording to information from Le Figaro confirmed by BFMTV.

The interpreter of Know how to love had no concerts planned since his tour last summer. He simply mentioned the possibility of a return to the stage in 2026, for a tour celebrating his 65th birthday, in November 2023.

Organized by the military governor of Paris, this Thursday’s concert takes place for the benefit of Bleuet de France, an organization supporting war wounded, victims of terrorism and wards of the Nation.

Difficult years

“Due to his health, his arrival was only made official at the last moment,” Madeu Gonzalez, friend and agent of the singer, told the national daily. “We wanted to make sure he could be there.”

A reminder that Florent Pagny is recovering from lung cancer, announced on January 25, 2022, which forced him to cancel his current tour for treatment. After months of treatment, followed by an improvement then a relapse which forced him to resume chemotherapy, the singer returned to the stage on June 30 in Nîmes where he began a summer festival tour.

A health problem which did not prevent him from multiplying his projects. He hit bookstores in 2023 with his book Pagny by Florentreleased in April and sold 150,000 copies.

The singer also unveiled a new album in September, 2 bisin which he revisits his repertoire in the form of duets with prestigious guests: Lara Fabian, Slimane, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, Vianney, Soprano, Amel Bent, Matt Pokora or Kendji Girac.

17 hours by plane

According to Le Figaro, Florent Pagny traveled 17 hours from Patagonia, where he lives, to perform for free at the Salle Pleyel. He will perform the song The soldiertaken from his album Grow old with you released in 2013, written by Marie Bastide and composed by Calogero.

The artists will be accompanied by 200 musicians from the Armed Forces. In addition to Florent Pagny and Nicola Sirkis, the duo Les Frangines, the group ElectroDeluxe and the singer Yvard will take the stage. They will be accompanied by the variety orchestra of the music of the marine troops, the choir of the French army, but also the music of the Paris firefighters.
