Florent Pagny has been battling lung cancer for two years. Despite the illness, the 62-year-old singer does not forget the causes that are dear to him. According to information from “Figaro”, the singer of “Chanter” will go on stage next Thursday, May 30 for a charity concert.

His public appearances are extremely rare. Two years after announcing that he had lung cancer, Florent Pagny is being treated at home in Patagonia, where his wife Azucena and their two children Inca and Aël take care of him.

17 hours of flight and three connections

In remission last year, the singer eased off his treatment and even returned to the stage several times. His relapse, in April 2023, forced him to really slow down the pace and put his career on hold. Florent Pagny has promised, he will not return to the stage before 2026. But we will not do it again… Despite the illness, the singer remains faithful to the causes dear to his heart. As revealed Le Figaro this Tuesday, May 28, the interpreter of Know how to love flew no less than seventeen hours, with three connections to come to Paris for a concert.

A concert in honor of war orphans and victims of terrorism

Florent Pagny will indeed perform on Thursday May 30 at the Salle Pleyel for the Sentinels of one evening, a charity event organized by General Christophe Abad, military governor of Paris. The concert is organized in honor of war orphans, widows, bereaved families, victims of terrorism and all soldiers injured on mission, we can read in Le Figaro. Questioned by our colleagues, a friend of Florent Pagny specifies that the singer will perform voluntarily. He will interpret The soldier, one of his hits denouncing the atrocities of war. The artist will be joined on stage by Nicola Sirkis, the leader of Indochina, for a moment which obviously promises to be particularly moving.
