To return to music, Lio appeals to the generosity of his loyal subscribers. On Instagram, the singer launched a donation fund in order to be able to produce her next album.

If we thought her musical career was on hold, she ultimately hasn’t said her last word. On his Instagram page, Lio revealed that he had a new album in the works, entirely produced and written by him. “A new record with girls I love, but in my own hands. Not by selling rights to majors or labels who don’t want me anyway,” she said in a video.

In a second publication, the 61-year-old singer calls for donations from 95,000 subscribers. “I was a former Lolita, a Banana Queen, a brunette who doesn’t count for plums, well… ‘all the women in your life’ what it is,” she writes. “I want to make a record of Lio singing Lio, but I don’t have the money to continue this project which has been traveling with me since 2020.”
