the essential
Just inaugurated, the Roger-Louret theater is already the place for intense rehearsals and plays are already programmed. A sort of return to the roots for Chistine Zavan.

Saturday June 15, at 8 p.m. and Sunday June 16 at 3 p.m., on the stage of the recently inaugurated theater named Roger Louret, the students of Christine Zavan’s theater workshop will perform “Alexandrie Alexandrin” directed by Christine Zavan. Whether it is Corneille, Molière, Edmond Rostand, Victor Hugo for the best known or others like Roger Louret, (243 BC of General De Gaulle) all wrote a good number of stories in Alexandrian. Amateur actors will perform some of these legendary scenes. Nine students aged 15 to 76 participate with jovial enthusiasm in this workshop led by Christine Zavan.

“We have been rehearsing these scenes for 6 months for 3 hours every Wednesday. The texts in Alexandrian require more concentration and mastery than those in prose. It is necessary to analyze the text to better understand it” explains Christine Zavan .

During this time, some are making their mark on the set. Others are immersed in their text. “We are in the home stretch. On stage, it will be the culmination of each and every person’s work. A character will link the different scenes” specifies the director.

It may be useful here, for the youngest to recall the journey of Christine Zavan. Trained at the Roger Louret school in Agen, then at Jean Périmony in Paris, Catherine Zavan also took classes with Françoise Seigner, then those of Pierre Santini at the Aktéon-Théâtre. From 1981 to 1994, she worked with the Roger Louret company and played notably in Les femmes de bonne humor by Goldoni, Les vacances broulées by Benjamin Vincent (Théâtre Sorano, Toulouse), The Imaginary Patient by Molière, Les Troyennes by Euripides, La java from the memoirs of Roger Louret (Théâtre de la Renaissance, Paris) and in several plays by Feydeau, We purge baby, Hortense said, I don’t care, Madame’s late mother. To simplify, Christine Zavan has a rich background as an actress, director, troupe leader and author.

Everyone is eager to perform in front of the audience. Some will certainly have a thought for a certain Roger. Contribution to costs (PAF) €10. Reservations on 06 59 30 17 39.
