Having become a millionaire during his 234th participation in “12 coups de midi”, Émilien shared, on the set of “Quotidien”, behind the scenes of his incredible journey which led him to become the biggest winner of the flagship show of TF1.

At only 21 years old and with 1,039,071 euros in his pocket, Emilien beat the record held by Bruno Hourcade, establishing himself as the biggest winner of the show.

“You participated in the first casting of the show… and no,” recalled Yann Barthès, evoking the champion’s first unsuccessful attempts to participate in the show. “Actually, it didn’t work. You have to be at least a little comfortable, and perhaps I lacked confidence at the time. But I took another chance last year, and look where it got me today!” replied the young Toulousain.

His tenacity not only paid off, but also propelled him into the spotlight and into the hearts of fans. At only 21 years old, this history enthusiast broke the record held by Bruno Hourcade, establishing himself as the biggest winner, with 1,039,071 euros in his pocket. “It was a dream, now it’s reality, but believe me, my passion for the game has always surpassed the attraction of victories” he confided during an interview with Purepeople.com.

“The exams escaped me”

Emilien’s meteoric trajectory is not without consequences, particularly on an academic level. “I continued my studies during the first semester, but the exams escaped me. Honestly, I never imagined that the show would take me this far.”

On the set of “Quotidien”, Yann Barthès asked the question that everyone was asking: “Did you receive the check or not?”

“No, I didn’t get the whole check. I received part of it” he replies before explaining that he is not going to receive a check for a million euros, but rather several small payments. “I have difficulty realizing what I It’s really a symbolic figure, I’m still shaking,” he said during his victory.

Beyond the challenges, Emilien also plans to stay on the show in the future and play a more creative role: “I would love to write the questions for the show” he confided, illustrating his desire to contribute to the success of other participants while remaining connected to his passion.
