The new edition of the Gramat film festival returns from May 24 to 26. Documentary, thriller, animated film, comedy, drama… There is something for everyone.

Organized by the City of Gramat, the third edition of the Cinema Festival will be held from May 24 to 26 and perpetuates the theme of literary adaptations for cinema. Elected officials, municipal staff, linked to culture and youth, citizens, are at the initiative of this festival born in May 2022. The primary objective was to create a municipal event to promote more particularly cinematographic culture in the territory.

For this new edition, an eclectic program of around a dozen films aimed at all audiences is presented. Alongside the screenings, film debates, animations around cinema or even actions linked to the public school group on the creation of Chinese portraits, the writing of scenarios, are offered around guests in a festive environment. Thomas Chabrol, son of director Claude Chabrol, is the guest of honor for this 3rd edition.

Opening of the festival Friday May 24 at 7 p.m. at the Atelier cinema. At 8:30 p.m.: The seven lives of Madeleine Riffaud (2020 – 1:30 a.m. – General audience session). A documentary by Jorge Amat adapted from the comic strip by Jean David Morvan. Archive images and long interviews with the resistance poet and journalist are intertwined. Jorge Amat explores the dense and crazy life of Madeleine Riffaud in the resistance and even in the resistance of Vietnam. Screening followed by a debate with the director. At 11 p.m.: The Soul Eater (2024 – prohibited for children under 12). Film, detective, thriller by Julien Maury and Alexander Bustillo. Constable Franck De Rolan is looking for three kidnapped children. He teams up with Elizabeth Guardiano, a police officer assigned to lead the criminal investigation. Their investigations will plunge them into an infernal spiral.
