Since the 13th and until May 23Lannion is the theater of Faltazi Maean event that celebrates Brittany, its people and its culture.

Various cultural events are planned around the Breton language, traditional music, or people who have marked the history of the region.

One of them, Anatole Le Brazis particularly in the spotlight.

Anatole Le Braz featured

The exhibition “Le Trégor in the footsteps of Anatole Le Braz” immerses us in Trégor through the experience of the writer, author of The Legend of Death.

The traveling exhibition, which stops at the Sainte-Anne space until June 3was created by Dominique Besançon and Yves Raoulwriter and painter, a double project linked to their work of the same name released in 2022.

Anatole Le Braz is also at the center of the show “Brittany at Braz Ouverts”presented at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22 in the conference room.

While Dominique Besançon and Yves Raoul link reading and images, Achille Grimaud and Aldo Ripochethe creators of the show, combine words and music.

This two-voice story allows you to (re)discover Brittany according to Le Braz, using passages from “the Breton landscape” by the writer and poet.

11 a.m.: Bilingual baby readers. Media library (toddler room).

2:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.: Café Discussion session 2: Conservatory students present their research topic in traditional music, over coffee. Organized in partnership with the Conservatory. Back cafeteria (Espace Sainte-Anne).

– Tuesday May 21 at 6:30 p.m.: Café-philo in Breton on the theme “The little joys of everyday life” – “Plijaduriù bihan ar vuhez pemdez”. Simultaneous translation using headphones. Organized in partnership with Lannion-Trégor Community. At the Le Flambard café.

– From Tuesday May 21 at 6 p.m. to Wednesday May 22 at 6 p.m.: “The 24 hours of the Crêpe”. Musical and singing entertainment, crepe challenges. Organized by Diwan Lannuon. Interior courtyard of Espace Sainte-Anne.

– Wednesday 22 May :

3:30 p.m.: crossing of the Redadeg, relay race for the Breton language.

6:30 p.m.: “La Bretagne à Braz Ouverts” show. A story in two voices: that of Breton oral tradition (Achille Grimaud) and that of baroque music (Aldo Ripoche), around the world of Anatole Le Braz. FREE ENTRANCE. Organized by the City of Lannion. Conference room.

– Thursday May 23: The Redadedig. More than 300 children from bilingual schools in the City and surrounding areas come together to symbolically extend the passage of the Redadeg. Interior courtyard of Espace Sainte-Anne.
