France Beaudoin opens up about her relationship with her daughter Juliette on “For Once”

A seasoned host, Beaudoin doesn’t lend herself to the game of interviews. Usually rather reserved about her private life, she nevertheless revealed herself as she had rarely done, as part of a new episode of the talk show For Once.

Sitting on the guest’s sofa, the producer seemed very excited at the idea of discovering the part of the unknown that awaited her. Shortly after the start of the episode, she spoke to Mona de and did not hesitate to make rare and touching confidences about her relationship with her daughter Juliette, adopted in 2005. She says :

« For me, adoption was an extraordinary experience, which cannot be explained: How you were born on two ends of the world, how you were matched to accompany you for the rest of your days… I had a discussion with my daughter not so long ago, we went to eat at a restaurant together. I said, “I’m really asking you: What could I have done differently, based on your needs?” She answered me, she said to me: “There is one thing you could have done differently. It is that all my life, with all your good will, you have always told me, “It’s the same, it’s the same as with your brother. It’s the same love, it’s the same impulse, it’s the same attachment. There’s nothing different.”

She says: “I understand that it’s the same love, I understand all your good impressions, it’s the same attachment, you’re right. It’s not true that it’s the same. (…) J I have slanted eyes. I don’t have makeup like you. I don’t have an Asian singer model. I don’t necessarily have an Asian businesswoman model. super fine! But where are the others?

By telling me “it’s the same, it’s the same, it’s the same”, it’s as if you’re cutting off the conversation and you’re not allowing me to say it’s not the same, basically.” »

The words of the 19-year-old young woman will certainly resonate with many families with similar experiences, even if it means helping them on their journey. We appreciate the great openness of France on this subject which is so important and so often shunned in conversations. A great frankness from the popular host.

In addition, during the next episode, it will be the turn of doctor and ex-NFL player Laurent Duvernay-Tardif to sit in the guest seat of For once. What confidences will emerge from this extraordinary interview?

This will be not to be missed, starting at 8 p.m. next Saturday, on Télé-Québec.
