Agathe Riedinger’s “Rough Diamond” is her, Malou Khebizi. And her bimbo character who just wants to be loved is a truly compositional role.

“I was working in restaurants alongside my studies to pay my rent when the director of a very small amateur short film that I had made in Marseille sent me the plan. I sent a presentation video that I made in the basement of the bar with some friends, then I met the casting director Julie Allione. And then it lasted eight months. I very quickly met the director Agathe Riedinger, but it was very important for her to choose the actress for the character she had written for many years. During the casting, I presented myself as I am in everyday life, raw (laughs).

When I got the role, we worked a lot. First on the body, on the attitude. It was absolutely necessary to erase all my little tics, not to tilt my head too much, not to smile too much, to stand up straight, not to cross my legs. Liane is a pretty wild girl and so I always had to show it and never look down. The approach too. Afterward during filming, there was a truly aesthetic and physical transformation. The hair, the extensions, the eyebrows, the makeup, I had already had injections, they took them off me, that allowed me to work on myself, while I had time to do so. And then there was a prosthesis and special effects for the fake breasts. »
