Museums open their doors for a special evening

As part of the 19th edition of the European Night of Museums, the Toulouse-Lautrec and Lapérouse museums open their doors on the evening of May 18 for a series of exceptional exhibitions.

A unique evening to (re)discover the collections of the two most famous museums in Albi for free. On Saturday May 18 from 8 p.m., the Toulouse-Lautrec and Lapérouse museums offer unique performances, even in the exhibition rooms.

For example, the public will be able to discover the different hidden sides of the museum world in the Toulouse-Lautrec auditorium with the comedy “As soon as it’s beautiful, it eats away”. Flash visits of 30 minutes accompanied by a tour guide will also allow you to approach certain little-known works.

On the Lapérouse side, the “onboard tales” narrated by the artist Jean-Michel Hernandez will invite the public to go on a journey to the four corners of the world, in this place dedicated to the maritime history of the end of the 18th century embodied by the great Albigensian navigator.
