Accompanied by the Tournefeuille Harmony Orchestra and four singers, Pierre Matras and Muriel Darras offer four concerts at the Phare on the theme of the great pop rock hits of the 60s/70s/80s. Beatles, Queen, Elton John on the program…

“This concert we call The Grenier 3 concerte Opus, pbecause it’s the third one that we let’s do with Tournefeuille Concert Band placed under the direction of Claude Puysségur”, explains Pierre Matras co-director of the Grenier de Toulouse, continuing: “When Claude Puysségur suggested that I sing accompanied by his 45 musicians, I assure you that he did not need to find other arguments. I love singing, always have. As a child, to the great dismay of my parents, I sang along all the time. I loved the song before the theater which came later, during the high school years.
The first opus was devoted to French song with covers of Brel, Barbara, Aznavour, Nougaro. For the second, the Grenier took its audience to the wonderland of musicals : “West side story”, “The Phantom of the Opera”, “The Lion King”, “Chicago”…

And from Thursday, at the Lighthouse, in Tournefeuille accompanied by the Tournefeuille Harmony Orchestra, Pierre Matras, Muriel Darras, and four professional singers (Rachel Joseph, Magali Lopez, Séverine Lescure from Jane for tea, and Elsa Perusin) will take us back to the greatest times of Anglo-Saxon pop rock of the 60s/70s/80s, with songs by Queen, Michael Jackson, Elton John, the Beatles, ABBA… “Between the songs, there will be little sketches. We are amused, among other things, by the absence of Laurent Collombert,” concludes Pierre Matras, with a knowing smile.

From Thursday May 16 to Sunday May 19 (8:30 p.m. except Sunday, 4 p.m.) at the Phare Tournefeuille (32, road to Tarbes). Prices: €11 to €21. Billetterie: www.ardei-soft.com/tournefeuille
