“We don’t want to leave college,” sigh, with a sad smile, Lilas, Amandine, Lou-Charlotte and Ninon. For four years, these 3rd grade studentse are part of the choir of Lamartine college, in Tours, under the direction of their teacher Nathalie Billonnet.

This hour of choir impatiently awaited each week was for them one of the great joys of their college years. And why ? “We learn new music, we work on our voice, we prepare beautiful projects with students from other classes but what’s more, when we get together under the lights on a big stage, we tell ourselves that we have taken a step in our self-esteem and all that… while having fun. »

And this step will be even bigger when Lilas, Amandine, Lou-Charlotte and Ninon enter the stage of the Ligéria space, in Montlouis-sur-Loire, on Friday May 17, 2024, as part of the Schoralia 2024 festival, because “we are going to sing for a good cause, that of Restos du coeur”.

“We are going to sing for a good cause”

Like thousands of choristers throughout the Orléans-Tours academy, this year was placed for them under the sign of Coluche and generosity. Greedy of everything the college offers as a means to flourish, the four friends are part of the “Cinema” class where they prepared with their friends, short filmed skits which “are going to start every song in the show.”

As a common thread between these sketches, “we walk, like a challenge, a cart to fill, dressed in overalls and yellow t-shirt. Do you see why? “, they ask with a mischievous smile. In Indre-et-Loire, Schoralia is organizing this year in various locations nineteen concerts given by fifty establishments which will bring together 3,000 students, of whom 1,700 will sing the program entitled “Choir restaurants”.

Dreaming of another world

After going on stage during the year with the sixty choristers from Lamartine College, to offer their voices to the 3e edition of Parcours du coeur then at the international congress of Amopa (Association of members of the order of Academic Palms), Lilas, Amandine, Lou-Charlotte and Ninon will meet in June at the Zénith d’Orléans to sing, to 6,000 voices , twelve titles retracing the adventure of the Enfoirés and proclaiming, with the generosity of the heart, that they too dream “from another world”.
