An unofficial visit which will last three days. This Friday, May 10, 2024, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle arrived in Nigeria and visited students and teachers at the Wuse Lightway Academy in Abuja.

During their visit to the establishment supported by the Archewell Foundation, the couple gave a welcome speech on mental health organized by the GEANCO Foundation.

“There’s no shame in admitting when a day is bad, okay? Or that you wake up one morning feeling sad. That you were at school, stressed, that you lost a loved one in your family and that you don’t know where to turn or who to talk to”he declared in particular to the students and teachers.

Meghan Markle’s companion, during this speech, referred to the death of her mother Diana, as reported by a Daily Mail reporter. A speech which moved his audience and which led them to applaud the prince for a long time for his speech.

After their visit to the school this Friday, Archie and Lilibet’s parents will also go to a military hospital to meet injured soldiers. As a reminder, this trip to Nigeria was partly organized after the participation of the Nigerian Minister of Defense in the last Invictus Games organized in Germany last September.
