The Richemont group brand welcomes star director Wes Anderson to celebrate the 100th anniversary of its fountain pen. The result is a funny and offbeat short film incorporating the artist’s aesthetic codes.

The Meisterstück, the brand’s legendary pen in the spotlight

The German brand specializing in high-end accessories wants to mark the occasion of the 100th anniversary of its iconic fountain pen, thee Meisterstück. She called on the talent of Wes Anderson, the director of The Grand Budapest Hotel, Moonrise Kingdom or Isle of Dogsto imagine a short film in honor of this luxury writing accessory.

The 3-minute film features Rupert Friend, Jason Schwartzman and Wes Anderson himself in a snowy setting representing the summit of Mont Blanc. It was at the top of this mountain that the American director imagined theth brand headquarters. Taking turns and with a lot of humor, the three friends present to us the characteristics of the famous Meisterstück.

An artistic collaboration which also gave birth to an exclusive Montblanc x Wes Anderson collection. Starting with the Schreiberling, a limited edition fountain pen designed by the director and available from 2025. Three pieces of leather goods in British Green – a shade dear to Wes Anderson – complete the set.

A launch accompanied by a physical event in Beverly Hills : a chalet-style pop-up has opened to the general public 459 North Rodeo Drive. An immersion in the world of the director with, on the program, screening of films on the history of the brand, but also pen personalization service.

Through this event collaboration, Montblanc establishes its brand position both high-end, cool and trendy. She also highlights her links with the artistic community: “over a century, the Meisterstück has captured millions of stories, passing through the hands of authors, creative people and everyday writers. The time had come to make this icon the main character of the story , but we wanted to do it in an unexpected and surprising way. That’s why we invited Wes Anderson, one of the greatest storytellers of our time, to present his unique vision of the Montblanc universe thanks to his unique storytelling skills. and its instantly recognizable visual identity.”explains the brand in a press release.
