It was a first in Brittany. Last March, production of the series Here it all begins filmed on the Emerald Coast.

For two weeks, the actors played between Saint-Malo, Dinard and Saint-Briac-sur-Mer, notably at the Château du Nessay.

The setting will therefore change for the 2.8 million viewers of the series, accustomed to seeing the Auguste Armand institute in Saint-Laurent-d’Aigouze, in Gard.

Our region will be discovered in ten episodes and the first will be broadcast this Friday, May 10, 6:30 p.m., on TF1. “We thought we would start on Wednesday, but there is the arrival of the Olympic flame,” explains the production.

A chef from Dinard in the series

In these new episodes, we will attend the Coupe de France de cuisine. Chef Julien Hennote of the Quelle pas, the Michelin-starred restaurant at the Castelbrac hotel in Dinard, plays his own role.

“I’ve filmed for shows before, but this is a first for a series and I enjoyed it. The team was really great. I was impressed by the number of people on set,” underlines Julien Hennote who is the juror for the Coupe de France. The cook had never watched the series, but he started and can’t wait to see the results.

“Brittany is magnificent”

As for actresses, we will notably see the sparkling Axelle Dodier. “Brittany is magnificent, it has done us a lot of good. The weather was a little cooler than in the south, but that was compensated by the kindness of the people,” explains the woman who plays Kelly Rigaut in Here it all begins. The visit to Saint-Malo marked a break for the actress. “It’s a series within a series, with new sets and new costumes. »

Axelle and Laetitia lived in Saint-Malo

The viewer will learn that Kelly and Laetitia spent part of their lives in Saint-Malo. “We knew that they had lived elsewhere, but without any details,” explains Axelle Dodier. We will discover secrets from their past lives, all around the challenges of the Coupe de France de cuisine.

“I became a giant pancake”

Axelle Dodier had already come to Saint-Malo on a personal basis. The young actress appreciates Saint-Malo in particular for its ramparts and its streets. “It’s a timeless atmosphere. » During her visit, she took the opportunity to treat herself to pancakes! “I ate it every day, every taste. I became a giant pancake,” she jokes. “I thank the people who follow us and watch us and I hope that our visit to Brittany will please people. We all worked hard for this. »

Each 25-minute episode will be broadcast on TF1 from Thursday May 9.
