Take on Challenges, One Day at a Time by Joyce Meyer – Thought for the Day

Swave the scriptures

Have I not commanded you: be strong and courageous? Do not tremble, do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.
Joshua 1.9

I strongly encourage you to take on your challenges one day at a time. Wanting to look too far down the road of our life only overwhelms us.

Trusting God requires that we believe that He gives us our “daily bread“. This means we get what we need when we need it. Neither before nor after.

Some challenges may seem overwhelming and impossible to overcome at times, but God is always with us. We just have to be courageous and receive the strength He gives us.

For example, let’s set ourselves the goal of quickly and efficiently accomplishing the work that is before us today, without worrying about tomorrow.

This principle applies to many other areas of our lives: pay our debts, clean and tidy our house, resolve our marital problems, educate our children, be on time for work and complete a project.

Remember Philippians 4:13, which says you can do all things through God who strengthens you. Nothing is too difficult for you when he is by your side.

Elisten to the voice of God

Do you feel helpless in the face of the challenges that face you today? Take the time to listen to what God wants to say to you about this.

Praying is simple. Talk to God like you would your closest friend, because He loves you and can hear everything. Here is an example of a prayer: Lord, even when the challenges before me seem impossible to overcome, I know that I can overcome them, one day at a time, because you are with me. I receive your strength today. Amen !”

Louer God

Today you can take some time to thank the Lord for the challenges you have already overcome thanks to Him. Then thank Him for the one in front of you who seems beyond your abilities. With God on your side, anything is truly possible!

HASact today

Now how do you apply what God has told you? Write down at least one concrete action you can do today. For example, take out that old project from the drawer and dare to believe that if God has put it on your heart for so long, it is because with Him you can bring it to fruition!

Hhonor the Lord

Our journey for the day ends. Let us pray together to honor our God.

Thank you, my God, I know that you will give me the means to meet the challenge that is before me today ! Yours be the kingdom, the power and the glory, amen !”
