In the sequence captured by Noovo Info, we can see the accused getting angry and throwing his walker at the photographer of the Montreal Journal Pierre-Paul Poulin.
“Hey, hey, hey! Shut down, cali***,” he said before standing up in front of the photographer. Special constables were alerted to the situation moments later. According to information obtained by Noovo Info, Goûchy Boy was to be arrested for this incident.
The accused, real name Chijoke Onyechekwa Ugochukwu, received a 21-month prison sentence following his trial for sexual assault in 2018. He was officially placed under arrest to be sent to detention special constable told Noovo Info that Goûchy Boy was very aggressive when arrested and collaborated little.
During the sexual assault in question, Goûchy Boy continued to act despite the victim’s protests. The victim was also an intimate partner of the sex offender, which constitutes an aggravating factor that could affect the sentence. The attack occurred in a motel room in Brossard.
This is not the first time that Goûchy Boy has lost his temper at the courthouse. Last December, he proclaimed his innocence when the judge found him guilty of sexual assault.
As for today’s untimely reaction, the Professional Federation of Journalists of Quebec (FPJQ) denounced it.
“The FPJQ strongly denounces the attack suffered by the photographer of Montreal Journal Pierre-Paul Poulin, while he was working as a photojournalist at the Montreal courthouse,” was published on the federation’s account on X in the afternoon.
