Gérard Jugnot moved to tears during a tribute to the Cinéroman festival

The actor could not contain his tears while attending a tribute to his friend on Saturday evening, two days after his disappearance.

Gérard Jugnot, very moved during a tribute to his comrade Michel Blanc. Two days after the sudden death of the actor Mr Hirehis lifelong friend participated in the closing ceremony of the Cinéroman festival, Saturday October 5 in the evening. He could not contain his tears when the organizers paid tribute to the memory of the deceased actor.

As reported by Match, a short retrospective of Michel Blanc’s filmography was broadcast in the Pathé Gare du Sud cinema, where the ceremony took place. Sitting among the guests, his former colleague from Splendid let his tears flow before briefly getting up at the end of the screening, as we can see in the images filmed by BFMTV.

It was within this troupe, which also included Thierry Lhermitte, Josiane Balasko, Christian Clavier and Marie-Anne Chazel, that the two actors experienced their first successes. At the theater of the same name first, then at the cinema in the saga The Bronzed.

Sudden disappearance

Michel Blanc died on the night of Thursday October 3 to Friday October 4 as a result ofanaphylactic shockcaused by the administration of a contrast product – a substance which makes it possible to highlight the organs during a CT scan, an MRI or an ultrasound – during a medical examination.

The announcement of his disappearance caused a wave of emotion. The actors of the Splendid troupein particular, published a joint press release in order to “express their immense pain”. Gérard Jugnot also published a story on Instagram: “Fuck Michel… What have you done to us…”, he lamented, before confiding in RTL on Friday morning:

“It’s a huge blow. (…) He was the French Woody Allen. He had a sense of dialogue. (…) I met him in 4th grade during a German class and I I didn’t let go of him”

The emotion has reached the political sphere: Emmanuel Macron, in particular, praised an actor who “made us cry with laughter and moved to tears“.
