An Internet user accuses, with supporting evidence, the Coperni brand of having bought him a “Mickey” t-shirt for 9 euros, then of having presented it in its fashion show. The haute couture house was forced to confirm the facts, faced with the numerous elements presented by the accuser.
After the show, on Generation Z’s favorite application, a user claims to have spotted his own Mickey T-shirt on the back of a model. A piece that he had sold on Vinted three weeks earlier, for 8 euros:
“At first, I told myself that it wasn’t possible that it was mine. When in doubt, I went to my Vinted account to look at the conversation. Well, it’s definitely my t-shirt. When I type the name of the person who bought it for me into Google, and we notice that she is an assistant designer at Coperni.
It’s a t-shirt that I bought when I was working in the United States, in Florida. It comes from a classic Walgreens in Orlando, it must have sold thousands of copies. It’s as if I bought it today at Leclerc.”
Faced with the evidence provided by the Internet user, Coperni confirmed that it was behind the purchase of this t-shirt, thus confirming the influencer’s comments.
Coperni is therefore a Parisian label created in 2013 by Arnaud Vaillant and Sébastien Meyer, both from the prestigious Mod’Art International school in Paris, where they met and are now married.
Sébastien studied fashion design and model making, while Arnaud focused on business and management. After five years spent at Balenciaga and Chanel for Arnaud, and numerous independent creative projects for Sébastien, they made their dream come true by launching their own brand.
