Season 8 of Married at first sight is currently being broadcast on M6. Every Monday evening, viewers are there to follow the adventures of the new candidates, who have agreed to unite in Gibraltar. This new edition is already marked by several twists and turns such as the abandonment of Camille, some arguments or even the crazy story of Marie, who knew very well the witness of her husband, Jérémy, crossed in the past. The show is very popular and allows its participants to obtain a certain visibility. So a year later, Maurine, who married Benjamin in season 7 broadcast in 2023, spoke about this extraordinary adventure.

Maurine and Benjamin parted on a bad note

In an interview granted to YouTuber Sam Zirah, Maurine came to clarify the situation following her divorce from Benjamin, who she now admits did not suit her. The latter was not kind to her, since he declared that she was not legitimate to do Married at first sight. During her interview, the Spanish teacher dotted the “i”s and took the opportunity to make a big revelation about the casting. Indeed, Maurine said that Benjamin would have been recruited by production via a famous dating application.

“He was recruited on Tinder” reveals Maurine

“He was recruited on Tinder, I don’t know if people know that, I learned it later too. There are headhunters for the shows,” she explained. She added about the one with whom she went on her honeymoon to Fez, Morocco: “I discovered the character little by little and I said to myself: ‘ah yeah actually he doesn’t suit me at all’ and then I learned that he had been recruited on Tinder. I said to myself ‘wow’, actually who is illegitimate between him and me, ultimately? I registered of my own free will. That is to say that I take the step of registering, it takes time, it is energy-consuming and time-consuming.” If Maurine and Benjamin have turned the page, it still seems that this experience has left a bitter taste for the young woman.
