“It is a bastion of luxury in the vineyards,” writes the Michelin Guide. The Lalique-Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey Hotel, 5 stars and member of the Relais & Châteaux association, has just been distinguished on April 8, 2024 by two Keys in the brand new hotel rankings that the Michelin Guide is launching in 2024.

It rewards the best hotels in . 189 establishments received awards.

“The elegance of the facilities”

Already distinguished from two Michelin stars since 2022 for its Lalique restaurant run by chef Jérôme Schilling, Meilleur Ouvrier de France, Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey is once again distinguished in the Red Guide selection.

“These two Michelin Keys reward the quality of its hotel services and the services offered there, the promise of an ‘exceptional stay’,” comments the hotel management.

“A 100% high-end experience”

“Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey and Château de la Gaude (at Aix en Provence) perfectly illustrate these 2 Michelin Key establishments which are both castles and vineyards,” explains the Michelin Guide.

He highlights the “elegance” of the installations, the comfort and design of the 10 rooms and three suites decorated by interior designers Lady Tina Green and Pietro Mingarelli, creators of the Lalique Maison collection of furniture and accessories. He praises the “inventive cuisine” of star chef Jérôme Schilling “designed to adapt to the mildness of Sauternes » and “its exceptional cellar” of Grands Crus, which participate in the design of “a 100% high-end experience (…) a work created with passion. »

A new distinction

On April 8, 2024, the Michelin Guide presented the Michelin Keys list. They reward the establishments in the Guide’s hotel selection which offer the most remarkable stay experiences. They are evaluated according to five criteria of excellence: architecture and interior design, quality of service, personality and character, value for money and contribution to the local experience. In total, the selection of hotels in the Michelin Guide France 2024 includes 24 3 Key hotels, 38 2 Key hotels, including the Hôtel Lalique-Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey, and 127 1 Key hotels.

Three Keys to the Springs of Caudalie

Not far from there, still in South-Gironde, Les Sources de Caudalie at Martillacon the land of the vineyard Château Smith Haut-Lafitteget three Michelin Keys.

It is the only palace in New Aquitaine to obtain this distinction.
