When the La Bouète à Meuh’zik association was created in Cahagnes, in Calvados, at the beginning of 2023 to launch a music festival in the village, she pursued several goalslinked together.
Launch and keep an event free. Energize the municipality and the territory at the cultural level. Develop the taste of music for all. Attract and highlight Norman artists.
And this desire found an echo with 350 festival-goers gathered at the Cahagnes multipurpose hall for the first edition of the music festivalin October 2023.
“We realized that there was a real requestboth from the public and from the artists,” adds Marie-Pierre Labonne, vice-secretary of the association. To illustrate this, the festival went from around thirty group applications to more than a hundred. “We already have requests for the 2025 edition.”
A preserved recipe
However, the festival does not disrupt (too much) its recipe. A ten Norman groups were selected to perform, the musical style remains motley (from rock to rap, including French song), and the program remains on two daysearly October.
Only difference: it will not be Saturday and Sunday, but Friday October 4 and Saturday October 5with a launch on Friday at 7 p.m., still in the multipurpose room.
The goal of the game is that the festival stays and continues here, and remains free. And the objective of this second edition is to make the festival autonomous.
For this, the association is counting on the great support of the commune of Cahagnes and Pré-Bocage Intercom, has established relationships with partnersand opened an online prize pool for those wishing to make a don.
For the good running of the festival, it will also be able to count on the action of a twenty volunteersin addition to the members of the office (which has also expanded greatly since last year, going from three to nine members). With the key words “ kindness, good atmosphere et friendliness », which made the first edition a success.

Friday October 4:
→ 7 p.m.: Singing straps / traditional music
→ 20 h 30 : Thibault Wolf / chanson française
→ 22 h The Bakers / rock, rap, punk
Saturday October 5:
→ 13 h 30 : Alizarine / punk
→ 3 p.m.: Catharsis / metal rock
→ 16 h 30 : 70 degrees / rock anglais
→ 18 h : Rem’s & the doc / rap
→ 19 h 30 : Spleen mantis / rock funk
→ 9 p.m.: Noues’vel Sienne / music school, covers
→ 22 h 30 : Elyxir / reprises pop-rock
Without forgetting six open scenes of 15 minutes distributed throughout the festival, with different types of profiles to perform there.
