It all started during a traffic stop. “The police officer tells me that I have zero points on my license,” she confides, face masked, to TF1. “What a surprise!” Me, zero points? I answer that it is not possible, since I have not committed an infraction. I didn’t receive a ticket, I didn’t receive anything. »
“Perfectly scandalous”
But while investigating, the lady is stunned to discover the truth. “I realized that it was my ex-husband who had my vehicle, who had committed all these offenses and who had said nothing to me,” she exclaims. But how is this possible? According to his lawyer, the letters from the prefecture were sent to the wrong address.
“A lot of postmen, today in our files, file notices of passage when in reality the person has not lived there for ten years. », explains Master Franck Cohen. “And yet, the administration is content with this information given by the postal services to estimate the characterization of a criminal offense, which seems to me totally fanciful and completely scandalous. »
Fortunately, all is well that ends well for this retiree, who was able to regain her license and all her points.
