IHe remains presumed innocent but the judicial noose tightens around Gérard Depardieu. The 75-year-old actor, indicted since 2020 for rape and sexual assault on actress Charlotte Arnould, was placed in police custody throughout the day on Monday, following new complaints filed in January and February 2024. He will be tried in October 2024 for sexual assault, the prosecutor’s office announced in the evening. French justice interviewed Gérard Depardieu in response to accusations from Amélie, a film decorator The green shutters by Jean Becker, filmed in 2021, and a young assistant director on The Magician and the Siamese by Jean-Pierre Mocky, a short film from 2014.
