If the program achieved good scores among 25-34 year olds, with notably 19% and 21% audience share in this age group for the first two evenings, the public was, in fact, not receptive to the adventures of Landry, a 60-year-old single man, in his quest for love.
On Wednesday September 18, 2024, the evening of the launch, barely 978,000 viewers got to know the senior single between 9:12 p.m. and 10:06 p.m. This represented only 5.1% of individuals aged four and over and 11.1% of Women responsible for purchasing aged under 50 (FRDA-50). “The Golden Bachelor” already canceled in June 2024
This is not the first time that “The Golden Bachelor” suddenly disappears from the M6 program schedule. This reboot of “The Bachelor” was originally scheduled to air this summer. A date, Thursday June 27, 2024, had even been announced.
