(Keystone-ATS) On the eve of its 41st season, Fri-Son in Fribourg is launching a financial support campaign entitled “The Roof in on Fire!” which should enable it to continue its activities in 2025. The largest concert hall in the canton, which has just celebrated its 40th anniversary, is struggling.
Fri-Son’s leaders launched their “unprecedented” solidarity action to the press on Thursday: “The Roof is on Fire! Support Fri-Son, one tile at a time.” “The emergency is there. The roof is falling on its head little by little,” they noted about the Fribourg club, on the occasion of the start of the 2024/2025 season.
The initiative comes after a difficult period, “marked by significant financial challenges resulting from systemic issues”. The solidarity action invites people to buy a symbolic tile worth 200 francs. It targets people who have the desire and the means to support Fri-Son.
It is possible to make the purchase alone, with several people or as a group on the dedicated site from this Thursday at noon.
