On Tuesday, September 10, 2024, stylist William Dogbey, 30, died in a car accident involving his rapper friend Koba LaD. Singer Wejdene, who shares the rapper’s life, took to her social networks for the first time since the accident. She began with a tribute to her friend:
“My friend, my big brother, I still can’t believe that you’re gone. The nightmare I’ve been in since Tuesday night won’t stop. God called you back to him, you who were so good, so caring and with such a pure soul, you leave behind a big void. I can never thank God enough for allowing me to spend your last moments together, talking for hours, confiding and laughing like we did. We will always miss you, we will continue for you. Rest in peace our angel”.
Then she wanted to speak about her partner who has been in turmoil over the opinions of Internet users since this tragic event:
“We are human beings despite the notoriety. You have been spouting atrocities for days without anyone telling you anything. We know, we know you, we know who you are and we know how much you love Will. It is tragic, I wish the world could see who you really are, as I see it, the battles you fight in silence, and the demons you try to overcome. You lost your brother, and I know how devastated you are. I will always be there, no matter what they say. I love you J.”
Rapper Koba LaD was indicted on Saturday and imprisoned, the Créteil prosecutor’s office told AFP.
