Difficult to be discreet with a name like his: in the spotlight since his childhood, Anthony Delon is not the type to want to hide from the media. Omnipresent when it comes to discussing family quarrels, to defend the members of his clan, the fifty-year-old is however discreet on one subject: his love life!
Particularly modest, even if he has appeared over time with several companions, he very rarely brings up the subject. But recently, he found a way to free himself from the weight of his past: in his new novel, Rail, largely inspired by his experiences, Alain Delon’s eldest son does not hesitate to describe toxic love stories. Which partly resemble those he knew, as he confided to our colleagues at Release.

A difficult construction for Alain Delon

However, he does not hesitate to link up”his attraction to toxic relationships” to a serious lack of love during his childhood, he who grew up in the shadow of famous parents and in particular a rather authoritarian father.

You want to repair the other and the gratitude of the one you are going to help fills a void in you“, he understands today, with a little hindsight. “Kid, it’s always our fault. We cannot, in our construction of a child, question the parent. A beaten child tells himself that he is the one who did something wrong. This guilt can later lead him to accept the unacceptable. A drug from which he will now try to escape, in particular thanks to his book. But also to his close circle: at 59, he is the happy father of three daughters, Alyson, 37, born from an affair with a dancer, and Loup and Liv, 28 and 22, whose mother is his ex-wife Sophie Clérico, of whom he is very close and very proud.
And who only have to wait for one thing… for their dad to find love again, and to be happy!
