Manger Bouger, the website of Public Health France, recommends eating 5 fruits and vegetables per day, all year round. Indeed, fruits and vegetables have very interesting nutritional properties for your body. The Ministry of Health and Prevention emphasizes their essential contribution of fiber, vitamins, water, antioxidants, sugars and minerals. Fiber promotes intestinal transit, provides a feeling of satiety which limits the effects of snacking. Finally, fiber reduces the level of bad cholesterol (LDL) and therefore cardiovascular risks. Vitamins, minerals and antioxidants are also essential nutrients for the proper functioning of your body. Finally, the water in vegetables and fruits contributes to your hydration.
