New tips for getting children aged 4 to 11 to eat well

Public Health France is concerned about what our children eat. It must be said that in 2015, it concluded after conducting a survey that “only a quarter of 6-10 year-olds ate enough fruit and vegetables and more than three-quarters consumed too many simple carbohydrates from sugary products”. This Tuesday, the national agency published a list of recommendations concerning the diet of children aged 4 to 11.

“Dietary recommendations for children aged 4 to 11 may be subject to a certain lack of knowledge or preconceived ideas,” says Anne-Juliette Serry, head of the nutrition and physical activity unit at Santé publique France. If parents worry about what toddlers can eat, these questions disappear when children get older.
