40 years after the death of his son, Jean-Marie Villemin speaks out in a comic strip

COLD CASEs – The album focuses on the trial of Gregory’s father which took place in 1993, 9 years after the tragedy

If we no longer count the articles and essays that have been devoted to “The Gregory Affair” during the four decades that followed the death – still unresolved – of the little boy, Gregoryby Pat Perna and Christophe Gaultier, will be the first comic strip to revisit the tragedy… with guest star Jean-Marie Villemin, the little victim’s own father!

The man who was charged with the assassination of Bernard Laroche, the main suspect in the case, wrote the preface and participated in writing the screenplay for the book, reports RTL.

An unpublished testimony

The comic focuses precisely on the trial of Jean-Marie Villemin, which began on November 3, 1993. Throughout the panels, we discover how Grégory’s father clings to the “happy days” – around the success of his relationship, the love he has for his family and his little boy – during the endless days of hearings and the long nights in the cell.

The album, which will be released by Les Arènes on October 3, 2024, also evokes the murder of Bernard Laroche, according to RTL.
