Support – Director and actor responds to criticism of Blake Lively
Justin Baldoni has taken up his pen to send a poignant message to survivors of domestic violence. This letter, published on Instagram last Friday by the director of Never Againfollows criticism of Blake Lively, who was accused of failing to clearly address the seriousness of the film’s theme, namely domestic violence, during promotion.
“You embody resilience and courage, qualities that shine through even on the darkest days,” the 40-year-old actor wrote in his letter. “Every step forward you take, no matter how small, is a testament to your unwavering spirit and an inspiration to others.”
A message of hope and support that was welcomed by his fans, grateful to see the actor using his fame wisely.

In his letter, Justin Baldoni does not mention Blake Lively at any point, and his initiative even seems intended to distance himself from the star of his film. Moreover, everything suggests that their relationship is complicated and has been so even before this controversy.
Indeed, Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively have not made any joint appearances to promote the film, and a recent article from Variety suggests that behind-the-scenes tensions, coupled with the actress’s problematic comments, are jeopardizing the possibility of a sequel.
