Vesoul Assizes – The 20-year-old woman admitted to killing Théo Decouchant, 23, but the circumstances of the murder remain unclear

Described in turn as “borderline”, having “psychopathic and perverse traits”, then “a clinically ordinary personality” and without psychiatric disorder, who is Camille Anguenot in reality? The 20-year-old woman, tried since Tuesday by the Vesoul Assize Court, faces thirty years in prison for the murder of a suitor whose body she had hidden in a cupboard.

On Thursday, the court scrutinized the young woman’s personality. Camille Anguenot had recounted the night before in court the murder of Théo Decouchant, 23, and her act on November 29, 2021.

“He said to me: ‘You sleep with other guys, why don’t you sleep with me?'”

That evening, she invited this suitor to spend the evening at her place, in a small town in Haute-Saône, between Vesoul and Besançon. She rejected his advances, but they fell asleep together in her bed. During the night, she was woken up by his caresses, which she rejected again. “He said to me: “You sleep with other guys, why don’t you with me?” It reminded me that I was an easy girl” and “I completely went off the rails”, the young woman confided before the Haute-Saône Assize Court.
