NEIGHBORHOOD – The fire alarm of a building on the Truillot impasse goes off for no reason several times a month and for several days without stopping.
Two years of misery. Since 2022, residents of the impasse Truillot (11th arrondissement of Paris) have been living in hell because of an alarm installed in a building located on the same street, reports our colleagues from Parisian.
In this building managed by the social landlord Élogie Siemp, a faulty fire alarm is activated “once or twice” per month according to a local resident quoted by the daily newspaper.
Several times a month and for several days
Nothing too bad at first glance… for those who have never had to endure the sound of such an alarm. Except that, firstly, it resonates enormously according to local residents, since the sound wave bounces off the walls of the dead end, but above all, when it activates, rather during sunny days, it is not for only a few minutes.
According to reports, at the end of August, it screamed for forty-eight hours. In the spring, it was active for six days without stopping. Enough to drive the inhabitants crazy, who now live in constant fear of being woken up by the monster.
