Drama – In the United States, a 21-year-old groom is accused of the murder of his best man on the day of the ceremony.
The wedding ended in tragedy. In Michigan (United States), a 29-year-old man died on August 30, deliberately hit by the driver of an SUV, reports CBS News. The victim was a best man. The suspect is the groom.
According to initial reports, Savahna Collier, 21, and James Shirah, 22, celebrated their wedding in a pizzeria but continued the party at a house. It was in the latter that an argument broke out between James and the victim, who then left the scene. She was in the street, in front of the house, when she was mowed down.

“I’ve never seen anything like this,” the Genesee County prosecutor said. “I’ve seen people hit other people, but not this soon after a wedding.” The driver was speeding, police said. That left the best man with no chance.
The couple left the scene and did not turn themselves in to police until the next day. This makes it “more difficult to unravel what happened,” the prosecutor regretted.
